To avoid the risk of scientific research going towards a post-human direction, but especially resting on approximate ethics: these are important themes which “L’Orientale” University has focused its attention on for some years, giving them an international relevance.
Si è tenuta il 12 dicembre, presso la sede dell’Orientale di palazzo Du Mesnil, la prima delle due giornate di convegno, a cura di Lea Nocera, dal titolo “La turcologia italiana: continuità e nuove prospettive di ricerca” – gli argomenti hanno spaziato dalla storia alla linguistica, alla letteratura.
Il 31 gennaio a Palazzo Du Mesnil il professore Rodolfo Fattovich ha concluso con una “Ultima lezione di archeologia” la sua quarantennale esperienza di insegnamento e ricerca presso il nostro Ateneo.
On the 5th of March, the University of Naples “L'Orientale” dedicated a special session to the world-famous Russian semiologist Boris Andreevic Uspenskij, one of the most important semilogists, recently retired from the University. The occasion was to launch the book Forma Formans published by Auria, an historic Neapolitan library and publishing house. The book consists of two volumes, seven hundred pages edited by Sergio Bartolissi and Roberta Salvatore.
During the event, in the impressive setting of Palazzo du Mesnil, several high-profile personalities paid homage to a colleague, which will be missed for a long time. The University Chancellor Lida Viganoni presented the session and focused on the importance of Uspenskij's scientific research and his indescribable biography.
On the 12th of March, “laFeltrinelli” hosted the book launch of Parole di donne, edited by the linguist Francesca Dovetto
The debate that ensued from the event could be summarized as follows: persons and things that have no representation in language have no visibility and the absence of linguistic representation reveals semantic obscurity.
